Bubble Boy

Riley got this wonderful bubble wand at AWANA. It made the biggest bubbles ever ... some toys are timeless.

The S Family

The S family and I took some pictures in Bury St. Edmunds the other day. We had lots of fun. As you can see they are huge Georgia Bulldogs Fans. Go Bulldogs!
M found this bush with these fragrant flowers. They made for a beautiful backdrop to family pictures.
Climbing on the ancient ruins. We were carefull not to disturb anything.
There was a fair amount of teasing between these two but the love shines through as well.

The Aliens have arrived...

Alien bees professional lighting equipment that is.... unfortunately one of the light heads was missing a washer. So after some excellent help from customer service (to figure out exactly what the problem was) my part to fix the problem is in the mail. It only took a few days to get in the first shipment so hopefully I'll have those bees up and running really soon. Looking forward to sharing some perfectly-lighted-studio-shots in the very near future .

Portfolio Pictures

Over the past several months I have been portfolio building. I have asked friends and family to step up and be my models. I can't thank them enough. In addition, my mentor and great friend Tammy has allowed me to tag along on many of her photo shoots, giving me the opportunity to practice my skills at her session. (A dream come true for a budding photographer.) Here are a few of my favorite from the past few months.
This is K and E at their engagement session. This was also the first session I took photos at with Tammy. It was such a great experience. Plus, they are so good looking it made taking beautiful pictures so easy.
Let me introduce my little guy. This is Riley and the subject of many thousands of my pictures. Here is a lovely young lady who I had the chance to meet through Tammy. We even discovered we are part of the same home school group. What a small world.
This is my friend's little boy. He is absolutely adorable.
My sister got a new puppy. Furry friends are just about as much fun to take pictures of as kids.
This is my nephew. That little mind of his never stops. He is always figuring out how this big ole' world works.
This little guy had the most beautiful hair and eyes I have ever seen. He was lots of fun to take pictures of.
And my friends daughter, S and L. Luckily I get to see these two on a regular basis.
And this is Kate. She is mine and this beautiful face is the reason I decided to get serious about my photography. Thanks sweetie.
What memory and such a great mom for encouraging this kind of play.
This is my nephew and niece. I miss them so!
This is my daughters friend, R. She is so natural in front of the camera. This day was filled with lots of giggles from three very sweet tweens.
These tulips came straight from my back yard. They matched so well with her dress that I couldn't resist.
This little guy was happy to sit and watch his brothers and sister play.
This is one of my all time favorite photos!
And here is my daughters other best friend. Look at those eyes. They are simply beautiful.

My Lights!

I am so excited. I have ordered my Aileen Bee Studio lights. So far I've had to use natural light or my speedlite bounced off the ceiling. I can not wait to see results I get with these professional lights. My photographer friend and mentor Tammy uses them and she gets stunning results. You can check out her new site at http://www.tlbrownphotography.com/ The lights shipped on Friday so I'm on a countdown until they get here.

K and E's Wedding

I had the honor of being the assistant photographer at K and E's wedding this weekend. It was such an amazing opprutunity and so much fun to be a part of. They are so much in love and I wish them many years of happiness together. Here are just a few of the hundreds of photographs that were taken that day.
