Every day that I was able to share the ins and outs of life with my sister and best friend was a day to celebrate. Every first holiday... every little detail - a reason to celebrate and therefore a reason to blog. Maybe I'm getting used to having them next door. And in it's own way this is good. It want them to be an everyday part of me and my life. And God in his infinite wisdom saw to it that this is a reality. Thank you, thank you, thank you a million times over! But even as I get accustomed to dropping in and having the kids play at each at each other's houses, I never want to take it for granted. Everyday doesn't have to be a celebration but everyday I will be thankful. Thankful to the One who allowed a dream of two little girls (only 7 and 8) who prayed to one day to be sisters and one day raise their families as neighbors. Talk about a fairy-tale. This is it!

Confessions of a Blogger

Ok.. here is the deal. I've totally neglected this BLOG as of late. But there is more to it. I HAVEN'T neglected all my BLOGs. I have another one... set to private that I've been very good about keeping up with. So for the next couple of days I'm going to post some of my musings from that BLOG to this one to share. I will try to include the original date they were posted over there. So if it seems that these are outdated... it is because they are!! The four below this one are from October and November of 2008.... I promise to catch up soon. :)

Easy as PIE!

I have a confession to make... please don't laugh but here goes... I've never made a pie in my life. Nope never not once. And the exact reason was because well, I was intimidated. So I made cheesecake instead. Silly me. Pie is soooo easy. There is certainly something to that saying. Pie was made.... pumpkin, pecan and apple. Pie was bought... OREO cream pie and something that can't really decide if it is a pie, cake, or a dairy product was created... my cheese cake! And all this done with the help of my best friend and many other small hands. It was a fun day and what was even more, I wore an apron. Did I mention I love living next to family?

Just playing around with the camera... and Kate being a total POSER!! (she can pull it off though, so what am I to say?)
I introduced Riley to Shrek II. They actually seemed to get on just fine!
